Dancers

By Matthew Johnson

Published

Can you be so comfortable moving within your body that there are moments you feel you transcend it? In the Dancers series by Matthew Johnson, we explore the movements of those who might be best positioned to answer the question.

Photographing broadcasts of select dance performances over the last half a century, Matthew Johnson continues his “Screen Time” exploration, this time attempting to capture dance not only how it looks to a spectator, but perhaps how it feels to the performer.
