Aarushi Agni

Aarushi Agni (she/they) is a queer South Asian writer, poet, comedian, musician, actor, artist, educator, activist, and person.
Her solo show 'EMOJI: The Hieroglyphs of Our Time, or how I learned to stop worrying and send the risky text 🤷🏽♀️' sold out its run at the NYC Fringe Festival, and won the cutely named 'Total Sellout Award.' Time Out New York called it “a sharp and funny mix of music, comedy and multimedia [that] explores risky texts, emoji semiotics, and how we navigate love, longing, and global crises through connections both digital and deeply human.”
You can find her writing, performing, and humming a little tune all over the place, particularly on her website: aarushiagni.com 🎶
